Animation
This part contains 3 short 2D animation film. My personal animation creating motivation is
mostly from the stories and characters that are exit in my imagination. Therefore they are more special to me. This method is the same as illuctration and concept design. Over the years, I am always and still working for establishing some complete world settings with animation in both 2D and 3D, illustraion and concept arts.
Herbs Shop

This film expresses emotional arc description in 2D method. The background story is about the daily tiny event of a teenage girl who is taking care of a herbs shop with her older sister.

Rotoscope
Year: 2022
The action reference is from YouTube (Link: https://youtu.be/PK4ktKaIHeA). I finish the outline of all the frames. Initially I use the original colors of the character, but this serie of colors makes the character not obvious compared with the dark backgroud.
Therefore I change the color into brighter ones to increase the sense of comparison. I consider to add some extra effect in the rotoscope, so followed with the action of the sword, I add some unreal scene on it. In order to make it clearer, I add some extra frames into the background to let the audience distinct all the elements they see.
At last, in the editing I achieve the plan on the background. Some small transition effect is added to echo the action of the main character. In the end of the video, all the lights are turned off layer by layer.

24-hour Challenge Collaborative work: Breakfast at 2122
Year: 2022
I attended this challenging competition with my teammates in 2022. The theme of this activity is life after 100 years.
My team member are all SCAD students: Dayang Chen, Mengyuan Guo, Yixiao Qin, Ruochen Wei.
